Marathon Half Marathon

We had 70 marathon finishers and 35 half marathon finishers. Congratulations all! The warm conditions made it a fairly tough race this year, but everyone who started, finished. We weren't able to catch everyone's story on race day, but we'd particularly like to recognize those who were running their first marathon or half marathon, so if you will email us we'll note that by your time in these results.
Due to the hot weather marathon times averaged about 15 minutes slower than last year. Brent Evans was first among the men with a time of 3:32:41 and Juliann Spencer won the women's race in 4:01:13. Half marathon times on the other hand averaged as fast or faster than last fall. The top 5 finishers this year all beat last year's course record. David Miller ran 1:29:53 for first place among the men and Candy Owens wasn't far behind with to win the women's race in 1:36:29.
